ENERGY PAYMENT DUE

Automatic meters have been installed at all Douglas Electric's services. The meters will be read by Douglas Electric on the 1st of each month and a Statement of Electric Bill will be mailed for each service. Payment will be due in the Douglas Electric office on the 18th day of the month. On the 19th day of the month, a penalty of $5.00 or 1% of the bill whichever is larger will be added to the bill.

Residential Heating System Incentives

For geothermal or air to air heat pump systems Douglas Electric will provide:

$600 cash rebate

To receive the Douglas Electric cash rebate equipment must be new electrical equipment and must be at least a 2 ton electric heat pump. To qualify for a rebate, the heat pump (outside unit only) must have a Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF) greater than or equal to 8.5.

Only one rebate will be paid per structure every 10 years.

Current electric heating and interruptible AC. rate is 6.7 cents per KWH. Buy your energy from the company that YOU OWN!

Water Heater Rebates

For LIFETIME WARRANTY Electric Water Heaters - $6 rebate per gallon of capacity.

For Standard Electric Water Heaters - $1.25 rebate per gallon of capacity

Also, a monthly credit on your energy bill.

Only one rebate will be paid per structure every 10 years.

All water heaters receiving rebate payments must be controlled by the East River load management system.
